Yuanda Australia honoured to contribute to Western Sydney University build
Yuanda Australia has been awarded the facade design, supply and installation contract for Western Sydney University’s striking high-rise campus in the Bankstown CBD. The university build is expected to contribute $54 million to the South-West Sydney economy.
Yuanda’s striking facade will cover more than 20,000 m2 and span the Canterbury Bankstown Council administration building, library and Knowledge Centre.
Yuanda Director ZhiJun Liu said Yuanda provided a cost-saving solution to achieve the building’s intended complex architectural design.
“Yuanda Australia took the initiative to suggest to the client a cost-saving opportunity,” Mr Liu said.
“The project initially was using GRC material. We provided a better solution to replace this type of concrete casting with double curve aluminium and colour ceramic glass to achieve the intended design.”
The Bankstown City campus will provide new jobs and educational opportunities within the heart of the community.
“The Yuanda team and I are delighted to be contributing to a project that will have such a great impact on the community,” Mr Liu said.
Yuanda’s installation will start in September 2021, with an expected finish date of late June 2022.
